Douglas Trask, M.D.
As a dual board-certified practitioner in Otolaryngology and Sleep Medicine, Dr. Douglas Trask treats patients experiencing disorders affecting the ear, nose and throat. In his general practice in otolaryngology, Dr. Trask provides individualized evaluation and medical and surgical care.
Dr. Trask specializes in treating sleep apnea with surgery and other alternatives to CPAP therapy. His commitment to research allows him to bring state-of-the-art treatments, such as sedated evaluation of the airway and neurostimulation therapy, to patients diagnosed with sleep apnea. Patients receive a truly personalized treatment plan that takes into consideration their unique needs and applies the latest developments in sleep apnea treatment.
Dr. Trask was awarded a medical degree by Dartmouth Medical School. After completing his residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center, Dr. Trask practiced in academic and private practice settings, at both the Cleveland Clinic and the University of Iowa. He earned his PhD at The Ohio State University and completed his post-doctoral fellowship at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, which is affiliated with the Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Douglas Trask has authored articles in both basic science and clinical research, for which he has received numerous awards. Dr. Trask has lectured nationally and abroad about sleep apnea, and enjoys conducting research into sleep apnea treatment. As a member of the comprehensive sleep medicine center at UCI, he is passionate about providing highly personalized, patient-centered care to individuals diagnosed with conditions affecting sleep and breathing.
